If you decide to use our printer the following are the submission guidelines:
All original art should be scanned at 400dpi and saved as a TIFF at the beginning of your production process.
All files must be CMYK for printing. This must be done in Photoshop at the beginning of your process after it has been scanned and saved as a TIFF.
If your files are created entirely in Photoshop, they must be saved as PDFs before sending them to Enemi Entertainment for transmission to our printer.
If you import your files into Illustrator for lettering -
1) Select All after lettering is complete.
2) Create Outlines of the type.
3) Save as EPS file.
4) Save EPS file as PDF.
These Illustrator steps will ensure that there is no problem getting your fonts to show, in the event that the printer does not have them or you have altered them in any way. This is much easier at the printing stage than attaching the fonts for the printer to import, so please use this method. Thank you for your assistance in printing your comic books.
All files should be sized to final comic book size, 6.5" x 10.25, full bleed. If you have white borders around your pages, the full bleed stipulation should not be an issue.
All covers, front and back should have an extra 1/4" bleed added for the scoring, binding, and trimming stages, as the drag which can occur during these stages can affect how the covers fit together and get cropped. Adding this bleed should ensure that all of your cover elements remain intact and visible as a finished product.
We want to make sure that your comics are printed to your satisfaction. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us and we will do our best to help you.
