Archaeologist, Chris Rammos is in Egypt in search of the "Egyptian Moon Stone" which is said to wield mysterious powers. He finds it in an old tomb. When Chris holds the stone it glows into a strong light and starts cracking in Chris' hands. He falls to the floor, everything goes black. The stone has disintegrated in Chris' hands and has turned him into "MANE" a wolf-like being with strong instincts. He can transform back and forth from MANE to his human self at will. When he returns to his home in N.Y.C. he tells his girlfriend what has happened to him and decides to fight evil. MANE is a great comic-book character.
